Our Piano Workshop
We’re in the piano service business because we’re passionate about pianos and the services we provide. We’re fully equipped to handle your piano tuning, piano service, and maintenance needs, performing major and minor repairs as well as complete piano restoration. Our workshop in Hamilton is purpose built and can cater for up to 30 pianos at a time. The workshop has specialised in the servicing and restoration of both upright and grand pianos. Three Piano Tuners Guild weekends have been hosted here at the workshop with as many as 26 tuners attending.

Tuning/Technician Background— Kevin
Kevin started his piano tuning apprenticeship in 2000, training with an Australasian Registered Piano Tech of examiner standard. Now in his 17th year of tuning and piano restoration, Kevin's business has continued to grow and employs Kevin along with his technician Nathan in excess of 45 hours a week.
Kevin is also a Past president of the NZ Piano Tuners Guild (2 years) and contributed 10 years service on the committee. Kevin is now the NZ exam convenor for the guild as well as a tuning
examiner. He has presented various rebuilding topics to fellow technicians at numerous workshop weekends and was a lecturer and attendee at the Australasian Piano Tuners & Technicians convention, in Wellington 2011.
Musical Background — Kevin
Kevin worked for twelve years playing the piano and singing as the resident musician on the Waipa Delta, a popular tourist attraction on the Waikato River.
Kevin has also played the piano for community theatre productions such as Chicago, Chess, The Producers, Spamalot and the Addams Family Musical. Kevin started teaching at the age of 15 and continued to teach piano classes at primary, intermediate, and secondary levels, as well as adult night school for a total of 15 years
